I feel 100% again and so this week, I'll be picking up where I left off.

I did get my walks in, which are about 3-5 miles a day so I wasn't completely inactive. My diet on the other hand was not so great. I will be working on that this week.

I also managed to keep my weight under control in those 2wks. I actually lost a little bit. I saw 131 this morning and my goal is to get down to 128lbs. So can I lose 3lbs in 3wks? I think I can. :)

Weight: 131.75

BMI: 27.67

Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-86922880205919003902009-08-31T01:54:00.000-07:002009-08-31T01:56:47.510-07:00Day 14Monday. Gotta luv 'em.

Okay, since last week was a mess. This week I plan on losing one more pound. I will try my hardest to get all my workout ins and to eat right.

I did an unofficial weigh in this morning. I stepped on the bathroom scale and I was still at 132. I didnt' get a chance to get on the Wii and do it since I was busy with taking out the bulk trash. Anyway, tomorrow i'll do it first thing in the morning and I'll take some week 2 pics.

I'll come back to update with what I ate, my exercise, etc.Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-22697803565051929042009-08-31T01:45:00.000-07:002009-08-31T01:54:03.635-07:00Day 12-13Day 12

Saturday was a disaster. Actually thinking back, this whole week has been bad. I got lazy with my food and well, i'm sure the scale is going to show that come weigh-in.

I didn't do my workout this Saturday, which is normally my offday anyway, but since I missed one this week I was going to use Saturday to make it up.

I didnt' happen. I'm not even going to begin typing what I ate. We went to a birthday barbeque and well, that about sums it all up. I didn't over eat but the stuff I ate wasn't the healthiest.

Day 13

Sunday was even worse. Again, I planned on doing Kenpo X but somewhere between cleaning the house and taking the kids out to the park and practicing some soccer, exercising was the last thing I wanted to do.

We desparately need to go food shopping again. We didn't have anything quick to cook last night so guess what I ate... ughh.. I hate myself for it but what's done is done... I had McDonalds.

Anyway, I'm going to be extra deligent this week. Tomorrow I'll do my weigh-in since this morning I was busy taking out some trash before the garbage truck came around.Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-68599976673713124122009-08-27T14:23:00.000-07:002009-08-27T14:29:55.984-07:00Day 9-11I haven't weighed myself since Monday. I just keep forgetting to. I'll try to remember tomorrow.

Day 9-

Uneventful. I've been having weird cravings. I almost never crave stuff when i'm eating 1800 calories... so i'm not sure what's up with that. I have to recalculate, maybe i'm not eating enough.

Day 10-

I missed my Plyo workout. Hubby went to bed early and I just decided to follow him. :) Not good, but such is life.

Day 11-

Exercise: Plyometrics & Ab Ripper X

I know those 2 workouts dont' go together but since I missed the workout last night and tonight should have been shoulders & arms, I threw the Ab workout in the mix.

Diet: Still having cravings. Although today I did miss breakfast today. That i'm thinking is what threw my day off today. I didnt' pig out or anything. I've learned and gained lots of selfcontrol. I could have done better though that's for sure.

Water: Not enough. My jug is sitting on the table still half full, so I know I didnt' have enough. I was just so darn busy today that I neglected it. I will do better tomorrow.Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-34722477811281521202009-08-24T23:48:00.000-07:002009-08-25T00:06:46.614-07:00Day 8*** After 1 week of clean eating and exercising ***

Weight: from 135 to 132 lbs

BMI: from 28.37 to 27.77

Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-10598356082494300822009-08-23T06:39:00.000-07:002009-08-23T06:45:08.497-07:00Day 7Weight: 132.??
BMI: 27.86

Change in weight: -.7 lbs

Woohoo !! My 2 reports for school were due and my husband wasn't around to watch the kiddos. My friend Katie was helping me watch them but I would feel guilty leaving her with them for long stretch of times. In other words, I was taking a lot of breaks and that just compounded my stress. I finally finished my reports at around 4am this morning but i'm glad they are done.

Surprising I was able to control myself. Usually when my friend is around, I tend to eat like a piggy. :) I had my usual breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and my dinner was the only thing that was questionable.

I had some salmon and white rice. Funny enough, my friend wanted to go to IKEA for dinner.. lol So yeah, that's where we ate. The salmon was good, I just wished there was no sauce on it.

I was going to cheat a little and get an ice cream cone but when I went to order it I only ordered 3 by mistake.. well, actually it turned it okay since I would have felt guilty after eating it. I just took a couple of licks of my son's vanilla ice cream so that I wouldn't feel deprived. :P

Anyway, that's all for today.Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-89286596215469411672009-08-23T06:11:00.000-07:002009-08-23T06:27:13.525-07:00Day 5Weight: 134.56
BMI: 28.00
Change in weight: 1.21

*FREE DAY*

Okay, let me explain what my free day is. On this day, I can eat whatever my little heart desires and however much I want to eat. In the past I used to pig out and eat really bad. I would stash every bad thing I gathered through out the week and eat it all on my free day. Horrible huh?

Anyway, now my free days usually consist of eating cereal for breakfast, something I miss. I love my FiberOne Honey Clusters. For lunch I usually have something light and Dinner is where I get to enjoy. :)

Anyway, I had a slight increase in weight, mostly water weight i'm assuming since I've really been good about eating well until Friday.

I took 3 bites of my daughters hot dog, had some grilled chicken, and I drank a can of soda. There was water but it was warm and boy was it hot that day. I didn't anticipate on attending Organizational day at my husband's job but right before I had left, I drank my Shakeology and I think that helped me control my food intake.Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-29320103155353701752009-08-23T06:07:00.000-07:002009-08-24T14:51:45.355-07:00Day 4Weight: 133.35
BMI: 27.95
Change in weight: -.2 lbs

I've managed to eat clean the whole day and finished 93 oz of water. Getting enough water has always been a struggle for me, not because I don't like water, but just because I forget to drink it.

I found a 93 oz jug that I fill up in the morning and I try to get half of it by noon and then finish the rest by the end of the day. I think being able to see exactly how much water I'm drinking has helped instead of just grabbing 8oz of water here and there.Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-6109732731203650602009-08-19T13:06:00.000-07:002009-08-19T13:14:30.234-07:00Day 3Weight: 133.55
Change in weight: -0.2 lbs
BMI: 28.00

Workout: P90X
- Kenpo X

Calories: 1689
(I didn't have any watermelon today, so I ate a banana instead. I have about 8oz of water left to drink for the day and that will be easy, especially with Kenpo as my workout.

This weekend will be a test though. We're planning a bbq so I'm hoping I can stay as disciplined as i've been so far.Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-62307580684993485712009-08-18T01:04:00.000-07:002009-08-18T15:24:06.955-07:00Day 2Weight: 133.75
BMI: 28.04
Change in weight: 1.5 lbs

Just wanted to add my info for the day before I forget. I'm feeling great.

The last time I had done Core Synergistics I had issues with some pain in my lower abdominal area (c-section site) but this time the discomfort was mild. Now looking back I think it was that I wasn't probably hydrated and plus it had been a while since I had last done it. One of your livers major jobs is to convert stored fat to energy another is to help your kidneys perform its job when its falling behind with its own. The reason why your kidneys might fall behind is the lack of water you are getting, so if you are not providing your kidneys with enough water, your liver is busy helping the kidneys and not doing their major job. So what does that mean, well, that means that your liver is not metabolizing fat as quickly or efficiently. If the liver is not metabolizing the fat, it's storing it. So yeah, we don't want to store it, we want to GET RID OF IT! So drink your water.

Second, water helps flush out impurities. Drink enough of it and you'll notice your skin look healthier, even your muscles will look plumper (if that makes sense).

Here's another reason. Studies have shown that thirst and hunger sensations are triggered together. So if you are dehydrated, you might mistake that craving you get for food, when in reality all you need is to pick up a glass of water and drink it. Most food contain water (but it also contains calories, fat, sodium, sugar, etc) so you might consume more of it to satisfy that need for water. This contributes to overeating and we all know what happens when we over eat. We get fat! The best thing to do is always start off with a glass of water if you are getting these cravings, just in case it thrist and not hunger.

Gosh, there are many other reasons. Let me list them.
- increase metabolism
- regulate appetite
- boost engery levels, reduces fatigue
- less water retention
- alleviate some headaches
- help reduce blood pressure
- help reduce high cholesterol
- ease joint pain
- reduce back pain
- reduce muscle spasms
- decrease in risk of some cancers
- less chance developing kidney stones
- release toxic waste products
- improves skin

Anyway, you can see the list is very long and i'm sure I have missed some benefits.

I will definitely be drinking my water during my 5wks. I think that's another reason why I haven't seen much change in my weight. I wasn't drinking enough. I would barely get 4 cups if that.

Oh yeah, some people have asked me before what temperature should the water be? Honestly, it doesn't matter as long as you are drinking it. Yes, your body will burn slightly (and I mean slightly) more calories if you drink cold water. In order for your body to absord it, it has to heat it up first and that requires a little bit more energy. The more energy your body is using the more calories it is burning.

So what's the deal with drinking warm water? Simply put, your can easily absorb it since it is already warm. Like I said, drink it however you want it, but just drink it. Either way you'll be benefitting from it.Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-468592984799961405.post-5848043449183555322009-08-14T14:57:00.000-07:002009-08-14T15:13:31.097-07:00Preparing to SucceedI stepped on the scale the other day and was completely devastated. I've been following the P90X program and currently i'm on week 7.

When I first started the program I weighed 139 lbs. So, here I am half way through the program and i've lost about 4lbs in about 45 days. Not good at all.

So, i've decided to make another commitment come Monday, August 17, 2009. I've been eating somewhat healthy through out the program and that's where the problem is. In order for me to see the results I want and to reach my goal of 125 lbs, my diet has to be top notch.

Come Monday, no more fast food, junk food, soda, juice, cookies, cakes, chocolate, candy or chip. I will continue to take my Free-Day once a week, but even on those days I will not have the items listed above. I know some of you might be thinking that I do not need to completely give up those items and I agree with you... BUT I have to do it. Giving myself restrictions like that is what helps me keep in line. I have the will power to eat one cookie and stop, but that's not the point here.

Come the end of 5wks I don't want there to be any excuse why I didnt' lose these initial 5 lbs. Come the end of 5wks I want to be down to 129lbs without the scale flickering back and forth from 130 to 129.

I've made a calendar for myself to keep track of my workouts and to plan out my dinners. I ordered some P90X protein bars, another tub of the Recovery Drink, I got a bottle of the P90X Slimming formula, I still have about 3wks worth of my chocolate Shakeology (I need to order more). I've made myself an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of my calories. I'll be on a 1,800 calorie diet. I've ordered a pill organizer to keep track of when to take my Fish oils, flaxseed oil, CLA and my slimming formula pill.

So, I think i'm set. On Mondy morning I'll weigh in and take my new pictures. I'll post them here to keep track of my progress.

I'll also keep track of my diet here. I'll write down exactly what i'm eating and how many calories i've consumed for that day. I think that's about all for now.

Thank you for reading my post and wish me luck on my 5wk journey.Anahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07414227830914538160noreply@blogger.com0
